Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from those services.
Game Data: We collect information about the games you create or join, including scores, side game configurations, and results data.
Location Data: With your permission, we access your location to help find nearby golf courses. This data is not stored on our servers.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Squad Golf service
- To allow you to create and join games with other users
- To calculate scores, handicaps, and game results
- To improve our app and develop new features
- To communicate with you about your account or the service
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. We implement appropriate security measures including row-level security policies, encrypted connections, and secure authentication to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of your information.
Data Retention
Squad Golf retains detailed game data (hole-by-hole scores, pairings, betting details) for 90 days after a game is completed. After 90 days, detailed scoring data is automatically removed.
A summary of your game results — including total scores, scoring statistics (birdies, pars, etc.), and betting outcomes — is retained permanently for your game history and personal statistics.
Active and in-progress games are never affected by data cleanup. You can view your full game history at any time from your profile in the app.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only:
- With other players in games you join (game-related data only)
- With service providers who assist in operating our app
- If required by law or to protect our rights
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Opt out of location services
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). This will permanently remove your account and associated data from our servers.
Children's Privacy
Squad Golf is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
