By creating an account or using the Squad Golf application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Squad Golf is a mobile application that allows users to organize and track golf side games, including but not limited to Skins, Nassau, Closest to Pin, Birdie Pool, C.O.D., and other betting-style games. The App provides scoring, handicap calculation, team management, and results tracking.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Squad Golf. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update your information as needed.
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Access or attempt to access other users' accounts without authorization
- Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Submit false or misleading information
- Use automated systems or bots to interact with the App
6. Betting and Wagering Disclaimer
Squad Golf is a scoring and tracking tool for golf side games. The App facilitates the tracking of "tees" (points) and calculates results based on game rules configured by users.
Squad Golf does not process, hold, or transfer any real money. Any financial settlements between players are conducted independently outside the App. Squad Golf is not a gambling platform and does not facilitate real-money wagering.
Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of the App complies with all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding friendly wagering and golf side games.
7. Intellectual Property
The App and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Squad Golf and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.
8. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit through the App (such as game names, player names, and scores). By submitting content, you grant Squad Golf a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to provide the service.
9. Data Retention
Detailed game data is retained for 90 days after game completion. Game summaries (scores, statistics, and results) are retained permanently for your game history. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of handicap calculations, score tracking, or settlement amounts. Users should verify all results independently.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Squad Golf shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:
- Errors in score calculations or handicap computations
- Disputes between players regarding game results or settlements
- Loss of data or game history
- Interruption of service
12. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the App. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
